Empowered Communication does Mediation, Trainings, Facilitation, and Coaching aimed toward resolving conflict between people, improving communication skills, and helping clients achieve self-actualization in order to succeed at work and at home. We help people resolve their conflicts via mediation, facilitation, and other conflict resolution processes. We do trainings for businesses, organizations, agencies, and individuals on advocacy, anger management, anti-bullying, anti-harassment, communication skills, conflict resolution, employment readiness, management strategies, nonviolent communication, organization skills, strategies for success, and other topics as requested. We facilitate annual meetings, change management, retreats, strategic planning, and succession planning for businesses, organizations, and agencies. We do coaching in how to handle conflict, goal setting, interviewing, life coaching, management skills, managing organizational change, time management, and in other areas. Trainings, mediation, facilitation, and coaching can be tailored to the specific needs of our clients. If necessary, mediation can be done remotely via video conferencing.

Empowered Communication helps people resolve their conflicts for any type of dispute. Mediation resolves conflict by helping you communicate with those you are in conflict with so you can avoid similar conflicts in the future and avoid the costs of court now. We use a collaborative model, empowering your communication and helping you work together to resolve your conflict. This is especially important for people in conflict whose relationships will continue after the mediation, like divorcing parents, coworkers, and landlords and tenants. In mediation, the clients are the deciders. Decisions are not imposed upon you by a judge or jury, so you and the other party are in control of the resolution and thus invested in carrying out agreements. Resolving a conflict in mediation makes it possible to avoid court with all of its costs in money, time, ruptured relationships, and loss of control of the outcome. Mediation is mandatory in Yakima County for all family law cases (divorce) and all small claims.
Mediation Services are available in English or Spanish.
